8 Months!

My Girl is 8 Months old today.

 What?! 

Every month it is still a surprise to me that she is getting older so fast. 

She is doing great at crawling. she's getting fast! 

Yesterday she lifted herself up on her feet holding onto the couch and stood there for a long time until James decided to jump on the couch and made her fall. haha. She is so so cute and learning things so quickly.

If you can believe it, she is still a terrible eater. She rarely wants to eat. If I'm desperate and I need her to eat I can feed her pears, bananas or sweet Potatoes and she will most likely give in. As nursing goes... well it's still the same. Painful.

I'm counting the days till she can go off nursing. We have been trying to switch her to a bottle but she is soooo stubborn. 

Speaking of stubborn, she wakes up every 2-3 hours during the night to "eat" except I think it's more of a comfort thing. She could care less about getting any milk. Not gonna lie, that's getting old.

Still no signs of teeth other than her chewing on everything. by this time, James had 6 teeth so it's so weird to me. I'm hoping she'll get some soon but then again, I'm glad she doesn't have any since breast feeding this little bean is already painful with no teeth, I can't imagine when she gets teeth. 

Just some stats too, at her Doctors appointment at 6 months she weighed 19.5 Ibs. I'm thinking she's about 20 or 21 by now. She's obviously getting enough food.

Oh, boy. I love this girl. She's so exhausting but my most favorite baby girl!

Lily is 2 Months old!

Lily Bea is 2 months!
Just as I suspected, she is growing like a weed.
-She just graduated to 3-6 month clothes and fits great in 6 month clothes. She has big Belly :)
-Size 1 Diapers. My favorite is Pampers.
-She has more clothes than I do and rocks everything I put her in.
-Most of her Headbands that I have are still too big!
-She is a major snuggle bug and is always smiling!
-It's pretty much a done deal getting her to smile if you put her on the changing dresser. She loves being high up and looking around (just like her brother did!)
-She is super ticklish on her feet and chin! Seriously her little chin is the cutest thing!
-She is overall a very happy little girl but there are some days/nights that she cries and cries! Her little gas bubbles are going to be the death of me!
-on average she sleeps 4 hours at a time. Some nights I get the pleasure of getting 6 whole hours of sleep. She's just an angel isn't she?
- One thing I noticed is she likes to be held and she likes us to interact with her a lot more that James did when he was her age. I could calm James down by feeding him every single time. Lily eats every 2-3 hours. James would eat all day if he could haha.
-She can sense when I leave the room. Seriously, she knows. That's okay with me though. I like that she's attached to mommy!
- I don't know how much she weighs yet. We have her next doctor's appointment on the 16th! Can't wait to see how much she has grown! 

She is becoming just the most precious thing ever. So smiley and happy! There's nothing more rewarding seeing your baby smile and make little noises. :)

James actually let me get a picture of him for once and he even gave her a hug and kiss. I didn't get a clear picture of him kissing her head :( but it was seriously the cutest thing ever.

Meet Lily Bea Duncan..

...And there she is. This pregnancy went by very fast but the last couple weeks couldn't have gone slower. I'm just so happy that she is healthy and in my arms. Love this little girl we're so happy to have her in our family. It really feels complete. Lucas goes back to work on wednesday and I'm super nervous. He is one amazing dad and I'm worried about doing this by myself at night. James is such a handful already and Lily required all of my attention. Pray that I can handle this myself and get used to it quickly. :)

lame pregnancy update.

So, it's been a while since I posted pictures of my growing belly and She could really come any day now so I thought I would hurry and update the blog because when she gets here, aint no way I'm gonna have time to put those pictures up! Sorry It's so quick and boring. We just moved and I am going to bed like now :)

I'm Almost done and I cannot wait to have her here. Also, I can't wait to sleep on my belly again. You may or may not see a couple more updates depending on when Lily wants to come.

Pregnancy Update

This was 22 weeks. Excuse the bathroom mess. Ya'll know how it goes. Anyways, at 22 weeks I was feeling good. James and I were going on walks and I had a lot of energy...

...Then I was 25 weeks. Still feeling good but just really tired and some days my stomach just aches in certain places. I find it SO much harder to just pick things up off the floor and carry James downstairs. I don't think I should be doing that anymore. I wake up some mornings and my hips feel like I'm 70+ years old. I've noticed this pregnancy I am a lot more annoyed with little things people do and say. Like while I'm driving I have definitely developed a bit of a potty mouth. Woops. And WOOO baby girl, you are constantly moving and flipping and kicking and doing all sorts of stuff. I thought James moved a lot.

Right before this picture was taken Lucas was talking to baby girl so he could feel her kicking and he called her by her name which I shall reveal in a moment, but he called her name and then Luke felt her kick super hard. Such a movie moment. I was just a little unsure of the first name until then. I just knew it was her little name. It's moments like that that I literally live for.

Since I was little I have loved the name Lily and It's pretty much been the plan from the very beginning. I've always loved the name Eleanor too but when we saw her in the ultrasound I just didn't see an Eleanor.

As for her middle name..It's very dear to me because it's 100% unique to us. I feel like it's an old school name and those are the names I love for little gals. I didn't even come up with it. Lucas and I were sitting there talking about names and I was expressing how I just have no idea what to name her and Luke said, "How about Lily Bea Duncan?" I didn't even have to think about it. We both were just brought to tears. That was it. Ever since we have been calling her Lily Bea. James says her name sometimes but he refers to her as "Baby Sister". Gosh, I love this crazy little life of ours. Can't wait till our little Bea is here.

IT'S A...

               

We are so excited and realized we're pretty scared all at the same time. All we've known for about 3 years now has been Boy Boy BOY and we don't really know what to do next. Haha, we know we're good parents to our little boy but can we be just as good of parents to a little girl. Also, the name is completely unknown at this point. Something we didn't have a problem with with James. So much to think about and so many decisions but I'm just over the moon excited and Lucas already said he hates her future husband! (jokes obviously) :) Made my life when he said that. James is going to be a great brother to his little sister and part of me wants her here now! They moved my date up just two days. So instead of my due date being October 4th it is now October 2nd.

It's only been a day and naturally I have bought her a couple cute outfits. I. Just. HAD TO! James needed a swim suit that actually fit him anyways so we got him a cute Shark Swim suit that he picked out and little girl got like 6 onsies and little pants with an owl on the bum! :) We are going to SLC next week and we are going to basically get her a wardrobe and I can't be more excited. I think I can speak for Lucas when I say that we are kind of loving life a whole lot. We complain a lot about unimportant things but overall we know how incredibly lucky we are to have our little family and our individual families who love us so so much. I don't really know what I would do without my mom or the Duncans. I love them with all my heart and their constant support towards us makes us the happiest ever!
Luke and I can't wait to start this new journey.
