Halloween 2013

Halloween this year was weird. Normally Halloween is one of my favorites but my Husband always works on Halloween. I've never had a halloween with that man :( this year James was just being the worst possible 2 year old you can imagine so we didn't go Trick-or-Treating. I somehow got a couple good pictures of him in his costume. Overall it was very un-eventful. But hey, at least I got pictures right? I also made their little feathered shirts! Mary made the Pirate Owl hats and they are just so cute!! So, these babes had awesome homemade Halloween costumes. Maybe next year will be better and maybe we'll have Lucas with us! Here's to hoping.

The Arrival of Lily!

This is me the day of my due date (10-2) the last belly picture! And James right before I went into the hospital. I happen to give him a hair cut that night. I call it the Lloyd Christmas. whoops.

I'm not the biggest fan of Birth Stories cause I think it's a little personal that I only feel comfortable telling a few people but I do want to remember that day because It was so special so It's Lily's birth story without all the details that you all probably don't want to know! ;) Here goes..

All day the day before I felt kind of weird. I texted my friend Nichole and asked her a few questions about getting induced because my due date had come and gone and I was beginning to think that Sunday (the scheduled date of my induction) was going to come and I wouldn't go into labor before then. I was having some contractions but they weren't consistant. I decided to go into the hospital anyways so I called Lucas at work and he came and picked me up. I was still having contractions but they still weren't steady so the sweet Nurse whom I really loved told us to walk around the halls in hopes of getting things going and so they did. I got back and they hooked me up to the machine and she said, "You wanna stay and have a baby?" Haha, I was like um, yes! Thank you for not sending me home!!! I still wasn't doing much. I was in a little bit of pain but it wasn't bad. I decided to get the epidural and that was a way different experience than with James.. I don't remember the epidural hurting this bad with James. It didn't help that I was super anxious and a little scared so I was shaking really bad. All night..nothing. Lily was soo stubborn. They told me if my water didn't break by 9am then they would induce me....

I took this like an hour before Lily came. #haggard

....Well guess what? they had to break my water and they didn't do that until about 10am after that it went way quick until I had to start pushing. I pushed for almost 30 minutes. Way longer than with James. Lily just didn't want to come out I guess. after a very intense half hour Lily was here at 11:11am. Such an amazing moment. I will never forget that day. Shortly after James and my mom came. James really wasn't interested in anything but touching and messing with everything he wasn't supposed to so they left shortly after that! Haha. James did give Lily a little kiss but that was about it.

Lucas was so tired and then he got food poisoning so he was gone most of the next day. Poor guy can NEVER catch a break!

We were just so relieved Lily Bea was here and healthy!

We left the Next day (10-6) I couldn't wait to get her home! We got back to the house and the Duncans were there and came bearing gifts for the kiddos and homemade mexican food that was soooo good. My mouth is watering just talking about it.

We are just so happy to have her in our family now and we're just so in love. We've learned a lot already and are so grateful for all the help we've received the last 3 weeks!

October 5th, 2013

...And there she is. This pregnancy went by very fast but the last couple weeks couldn't have gone slower. I'm just so happy that she is healthy and in my arms. Love this little girl we're so happy to have her in our family. It really feels complete. Lucas goes back to work on wednesday and I'm super nervous. He is one amazing dad and I'm worried about doing this by myself at night. James is such a handful already and Lily required all of my attention. Pray that I can handle this myself and get used to it quickly. :)
