Happy Birthday Lukie Duke!

We had a pretty low key Birthday for Lucas this year. He turned 27! He had to work that night so we had our regular dinner and then ate cake that I made. James was so excited to sing happy birthday to him. I have a video of him doing it but it won't load. 

I love this man and he had a pretty great day I think. We got him a Leather book that says "WRITE" on it since he is writing short stories and such. He's an amazing writer! He also picked out some books from Amazon and has already read 2 of them! Last present I got him was Maesto's Beard Butter. Hahaha He's been on a mission to grow his beard out. He wants him mustache to flip up on the ends. He's so funny.

I had a pretty good Birthday. Lucas got me this awesome shirt and an iPhone holder armband for working out. :) We watched a few episodes of Veronica Mars and binge watched Parks and Rec. We may have skipped church. Whoops.. Ha.  My poor husband had been up since 3am so around 4:30 he passed out and so did James. We were out of milk so Lily and I went to the store to get some.

Then We got to see the Duncans for a minute and I was given the cutest picture frame! If you truly know me, you know that I LOVE picture frames.
That's literally all we did on my actual birthday. I woke up the next morning and Lucas felt bad that he fell asleep early on my birthday so he wanted to take me on a date for my Birthday dinner. He's such a sweetie. I really didn't mind. I'm just super chill and enjoyed just having him home even if he was sleeping. But I can't say no to some yummy food. We ended up going to Olive Garden and stuffed our faces. Oh, it was wonderful. I had forgotten how good that restaurant was. It was snowing the whole time and it was beautiful. We laughed for like 10 minutes about this story that surfaced on Facebook about a 22 pound cat that "attacked" a baby. The parents locked themselves in their room and called the police. Haha. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time and I'm certain the people at the table next to us thought we were so annoying. 
I really needed it. It was so relaxing! The best part was both kids were asleep when we got home. DREAM COME TRUE! This never happens! Props to Lydia (My cute lil' Sis-in-law). Oh, then we ate our dessert that we got to-go and watched more Veronica Mars. Best Birthday I would say! Just splendid. I'm so lucky to have such amazing people in my life.

^^James re discovered how awesome books can be. He loved books for a while there and then when we moved to my moms, we didn't unpack most of our stuff (including this books) and relied on tv to keep him busy. So he forgot how much he loved them. I love catching him "reading" to himself.^^

^^I think she was getting annoyed with the camera in her face 24/7 Sorry Lil!^^

^^It's Daddy day and so naturally James is reading a book in a tote full of books that we still haven't unpacked yet. Then Lily in her adorable hat that Aunty Mary made. We were headed out to get lunch and run errands. Also watched the Oscars that were on last night. THANK YOU HULU!!!!^^

 ^^We celebrated my Handsome Husband's 26th Birthday and we had so much fun with his family. (Like always) He got Thor: The Dark World, a Robot Fish and a T-shirt that says; "I don't shave for Sherlock Holmes" It's from Season 3 of the British TV Show 'Sherlock' and it's wonderful in so many ways. If you haven't seen it, I suggest you watch it. ^^

 ^^They like to fall asleep on me constantly. I seriously am starting to think I'm boring.^^

 ^^We got iPhone 5's so I thought I was messing with all the filters and editing stuff. Super Emo I know.^^

^^James went to Target with me the other day. We bought our stuff and he insisted on looking at the glasses. He put these on and said, "Okay, I ready to go now." and started walking out. haha. He picked out this snazzy Monsters University hat at Target. He looks so grown up in that picture. ^^

 ^^I tried on Lily's swim suit that was also given to us by My Sister-in-Laws. I wanted to try it on her because it's 6 Month Size and she's starting to grow out of 6 month stuff It fits her perfectly now but in a couple months when it's warm enough, I don't think it will fit her anymore. Long story not so short, I had to document how ADORABLE she looked in it. Having a little girl is fun :)^^
