Spring

I'm pretty sure every single year I do a blog post on Spring and how much it means to me. 

We are those kind of people who just get down in the Winter time. I'm going to go as far as saying we get a little depressed. It's extra hard because Lucas schedule is the opposite of ours so I never see him and when I do, he almost always falls asleep on us. Believe it or not, I still love Lucas and I love spending time with him. he has to try and transition back to our schedule on his days off and half the time, he can't. I know I whine about it a lot, but in the winter time, it's very hard on our family. That's why every Spring, I am just giddy with happiness because spring is when Lucas gets back to his "Summer Schedule"( as we recently discovered) Same 12 hour shifts as always from 7pm-7am but for some reason, he wakes up earlier in the Spring/Summer so we have more time to do things as a family. Winter is really really rough around these parts. James and Lily are Outside, active kids through and through and outside is a necessity in our family. I feel most happy when I am breathing the clean Idaho air. I know I can say the same for my Luke. That's why working nights is so hard for him. I am so thankful for a husband who works hard in his job even though the hours are basically killing him. He hardly complains about it (I complain more than he does) and he even got Employee of the month last night! 2 $20 Fred Meyer gift cards! I'm so proud of him! and I am so thankful Lucas has a job with benefits and we are able to pay our bills every month so I'm thankful he has a job at all and that no matter what we have a place to call home (even if we do move once a year haha).

ANYWAYS...Back to Spring..

Spring is just my time. It makes me re-think life and what I need to change and WHY life is so important. Usually that is for Jan 1st. But April is my month. Our month! We started dating in April, We got married in April and had our first baby in April. 

April is just the most Hopeful, Beautiful, Nostalgic month. I'm excited to say goodbye to winter and just being outside looking forward to summer and camping with my family! 

Well, baby Lil just woke up! But, Look forward to some fun blog posts and lots of pictures...

Catching up

A bunch of random pictures! I haven't updated the blog in a while. Mostly just trying to keep the kids alive and normal. :)

 ^^I told James to go lay next to his sister and he just plopped on top of her. This is probably one of my favorite pictures of them both.^^

^^ I gave James a haircut a few weeks ago and this little stud was so good for me. He sat there for quite some time while I tried to figure out how to do it and I think it turned out really cute. Literally 2 weeks went by and he was already in need of a new haircut. Luckily Sadie happened to have the clippers out last time we were at the Duncans and she did it for us. Haha, Note to self, never let Sadie cut James' hair ever again. Pictures to come.^^

 ^^I want to do a post on our apartment but I STILL haven't unpacked everything and I don't have everything in it's right place yet. So a couple more months but here is our Living room. This was last month when James spent 2 days with my mom in Pocatello. I took advantage and went on a cleaning frenzy. I organized most of the apartment and just cleaned. Because we all know cleaning with a 3 year old is like brushing your teeth then eating an oreo. Am I right?^^

 MOTHERS DAY 2014

^^Lucas and I went on a date a couple weeks ago and by golly I had so much fun. I'm probably going to be crucified by my Poky friends for saying this but...Blue Hashi is way better than Sumisu. Sumisu's atmosphere is definitely cooler but the food doesn't really compare. Don't knock it till you try it. Also, we got a few groceries. Doesn't sound like fun but anything with Luke is fun and it is always stress free without the kids. Motion City Soundtrack was our music of choice and a darn good choice if I do say so myself. 

I can't wait to do it again!

6 Months!

It's APRIL!

It's our favorite/craziest month of the year. 

Our anniversary and James Birthday in one week.

I love this month, It's so full of planning, fun,

reminiscing on our love and bringing our first born into the world.

Lily Bea is 6 Months on the 5th. 

I was already planning James little 3 year photo shoot and thought I might as well give sis a little photo shoot as well. I mean, just so she didn't feel left out ;)

6 months was my very favorite with James and has continued to be my favorite with bubbles here. 

She is so happy all the time. She is sitting up almost on her own. She is moving and has really found her voice. I also love this age because she fits in all her super cute clothes. That's just a bonus. 

Lily is sleeping in her Pack n Play in our room, but hardly sleeping. This is about the age James stopped sleeping too, so I was kind of prepared. But really, you are never prepared for no sleep. (good thing I have Dr Pepper on the daily) 

I feel like I have a little bit of a better grasp on her schedule than I did with James at this age. That might be because when James was 6 months I was working 12 hour days and was so tired. I have a lot more time on my hands to rest now days. 

Lily loves playing with her toys and chewing on her little giraffe. 

anything that glows is SO FASCINATING!

She see's my phone and literally plunges for it. The flashing light from the internet modem can entertain her for a while. 

This age is just the best. Everything is new and awesome. 

Her brother is the bee's Knees and thinks he's just the funniest.

James thinks the same thing when she tips over face first into the bed. 

That's a hilarious story for another time. 

She loves her bath time and loves being clean. 

She was eating baby food for a couple of weeks but every diaper she had was #2 and would make her bum sore so I'm feeding her solids every other day and that seems to be better for her.

Lily and James have their 6 month and 3 year appointment on James the birthday so I will know her weight and all that good stuff. I can tell you this, that she weighs a lot less than James did. He was a tank. ;)

PS my DSLR is currently being a pest so I had to resort to iPhone photos/editing. Not bad! Just not the camera I wanted to use. I still think they turned out adorable. I can't wait to post James' pictures!
