Thanksgiving 2013

Thanksgiving this year was pretty uneventful. Lucas worked the night before and so he slept through Thanksgiving dinner. He woke up around 4pm and I heated some Dinner up for him. For the actual dinner it was my mom, Geoff, James, Lily and myself. Lily girl slept through dinner and James didn't even eat. So like I said, pretty boring. I stuffed the Turkey canal with onions, apples and garlic and It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. My mom rubbed the Turkey down with Herb Butter that she made. It was so fast and easy. I made sweet potatoes, green bean casserole and Cherry Pie. It was really fun doing a big feast. I'm starting to feel a lot more comfortable in the kitchen (Thanks Food Network!). Seriously, I'm always watching that channel. Even though this year was completely different than our normal thanksgiving, It was worth it because Lucas got double time at work. Also Thanks to Lucas' sweet sweet Grandma Duncan, She gave all her kids and Grand-kids a large check at Thanksgiving. Grandma Duncan is literally the sweetest lady on this earth and I haven't seen Luke get choked up like that in a long time. He was just so grateful that he could give his whole family a good Christmas this year. It just shows that hard work really pays off. He may have missed Thanksgiving but we are going to be able to spend Christmas with family and have a great time. I only have a couple pictures from thanksgiving day but I will share pics from the last couple weeks. :)

Sorry for the corney-ness of the texts and facebook post but They make me so happy and grateful that my husband respects me so much. He truly does look past all my flaws (and I have so many) and only sees the good in me. That right there is worth all the lonely nights without him. This Thanksgiving I have had such a full heart. I'm Thankful for my two adorable children who are so kind hearted and sweet and I'm Thankful for my sweet Husband who is always working hard for us and hardly asks for anything in return. He doesn't know it but he is getting SPOILED for Christmas. I just love him with all my heart. Some days are more tense than fun but I know our hard work will pay off in the end. Love you Lucas, James and Lily. You are my everything.
