James is so into watercolors lately! I hope it's not just another phase because He is really very good at it. These were taken a few days ago and I think there are 4 or 5 coloring books full every INCH with paint. I have to gush about this little boy for a minute because I feel like all I do it complain about how difficult life is with his little attitude. While that is true, He is seriously the most passionate little boy I have ever met. He has something to say about everything. He has SO MANY opinions and most of them legitimate. His arguments are completely valid and I hate it ;)
He is so creative and he thinks of things that most 3 year old wont think of till they are 5. He knows just about all his numbers up to 100 (not in order) and I know will be a great little musician. He LOVES to drum. Has since he was 1 1/2 and can hold a pretty great beat for a few seconds.
What I love most about him is that when he sets his mind on something he just has to have it. He has to do it. He doesn't ever want to miss a thing. He got Lucas' Passion for things and he got my creative eye. My mom used to put me to sleep and when she would leave I would turn my light on and write stories and color in my room until late at night. That is James. He is such a perfect mix of us both. I don't mean to brag about James but he is my light. I admit some days it's not so fun, but he made me a mommy! I'm so thankful for those sweet cheeks and that silly laugh that takes my breath away sometimes. Sometimes it's these moments that make you step back and remember that being a mommy is so worth it. Look at what we have created. Such an intelligent little person who will one day do great things.
Anyways, I didn't mean for this post to get all sappy but boy, I just feel so lucky to have this sweet spirit even if it does have quite the little Mouth on him ;)
