My brother Geoff has to go pick up his daughter (Adri) ever Sunday in Jordan Utah. He was so exhausted because he has to do it every week and really didn't want to make the drive. So selflessly Lucas and I offered to go down for the day and then pick her up on our way home. Haha. My mom and Geoff were so excited they got to watch the kiddos for the day and frankly, So were we. Lucas had just got off Sunday morning from working all night and we decided to just do it. It was really fun to have a spontaneous trip by ourselves. Even if it was for a short time. I drove, which was HUGE for me because I have never driven in Utah. Ever. My sweet husband helped me the whole time and kept me calm on the interstate which, I admit, I was freaking out a little bit on my way home. It was really busy. But I did really well and now I can say I drove in Utah and didn't die. Ha.
My mom sent me these while we were in Utah. Love these goobers.
I was so excited it was just the two of us so we could go to temple square. When we go we have a big ol stroller to get out and it was so nice to just walk around and take pictures. Luke knows a lot about the statues and everything so he just kept spitting out information. I so love that about him.
Because we went up Sunday City Creek was closed so we went to the Gateway. It's gotten kind of sad. We used to go there all the time and it was our favorite and then City Creek opened and I guess everyone else thought the same thing cause it was pretty dead and a lot of stores are closed.
We went to Urban Outfitters mainly just to laugh at all the awful clothes. We are definitely from a small town cause some of those outfits were just weird. So not used to them.
Also, We love Sugarhouse in SL because my mom used to live there. The homes are gorgeous and the shopping is phenomenal. Even the Thrift shops and DI. We didn't have time to do any of that but we did go to Old Navy and get Lucas some Jeans and then we went to Rubio's right before we went to get Adri.
Rubio's is the best EVER. I dream about that place. Literally, I had a dream about it last night.
We were So happy to be home to these adorable faces.
You've never driven to Utah?!!? This is the best thing I've heard all day! :) Love you! Also, I was born in Sugar house :) my grandparents still live there!
